Weekly drama classes in Bendigo for ages 5 to 16, running during school terms.

Our Approach

Weekly one-hour classes run across nine-week school terms, built around a simple idea: every student finds their voice. Our program is active, original and skill-focused.

Build confidence in children aged 5 to 16
Encourage teamwork and social connection
Produce original scripts for performance
Develop improvisation skills
Support key skills in acting, storytelling and character creation
Explore creativity in a safe, welcoming space
Establish vocal skills for performance
Perform in professional spaces, with biannual productions in June and November
Learn theatre etiquette and respect

Three stages, one program

Every student moves through the same program at the right pace for their age. Pick a stage below to see what a term looks like.

Stage One drama class for ages 5 to 9 at Props Theatre

Prep to Grade 3

Basic stage skills, verbal development and creative storytelling. Students build confidence speaking and performing in front of an audience for the first time.

What happens each term

Stage One and Two perform an in-studio drama day for family and friends, seating is limited.
Stage Three students bring a parent along to play in a regular class.
Every student performs once a year at the Capital Theatre, Bendigo. Tickets go on sale in October.
